BUILDING A CELLAR
With what wines should I build
a balanced cellar?
Should I have more wines for
drinking soon, or more wines for short term or long term cellaring?
What types of wine are the best,
and in what amounts and bottle sizes?
How do I know when the wines
will be ready to drink?
These are only a
few of the many questions that I have heard from people when planning a wine
cellar. Some people dive right in, buying whatever they see, only to find their
cellar filled with bottles that are either all the same or not drinkable for
another 20 years. Excuse the exaggeration, but you see my point! My service
will help prevent you from making these mistakes by paying personal attention
to what fits your taste and budget.
As a liaison/representative
at NYs best auctions, I offer the advantages of convenience, and provide knowledge
of fine wines at well-researched prices. In my experience, the best deals are
always found in person. Absentee bids set a limit on a price for a lot, which
could be lost by one increment above your bid. Even worse, if you are interested
in 10 lots, you may prefer some to others, and you certainly dont want to end
up winning them all! An absentee bid restricts your flexibility and security,
but your time is limited. What do you do? Whether by retail or auction, Purple
Fete will introduce you to new possibilities, helping you create a cellar
that is of exceptional quality, and diversity at reasonable cost. Consultation
can be via phone, e-mail, or person to person depending on location. Inquiries
can be sent to info@travelingfetegroup.com.
