Summary

Scannagallo combines traditional design with contemporary elements to create the setting for a unique villa experience.   Located near the town where Under the Tuscan Sun was filmed, the villa is located in the Valdichiana, where the decisive battle between Florence and Siena took place. Original details have been preserved, while the owners, all from creative backgrounds, have combined efforts, using mostly whites and earth toned hues brightened with splashes of primary colors.  The light fabrics, and a mix of contemporary and traditional furnishing, combine to create an environment of relaxation, and elegance.  The service available at the villa supports the luxurious physical environment.  The experience can be customized to fit your needs.

Fine Points

Exterior

The exterior of the villa focuses on the rear of the house where there is an infinity edge pool, a charcoal grill, a Gazebo with a dining table with seating for eight, Teak chaises and decking, and umbrellas for lounging poolside and taking in the views of the valley.

Interior

Ground Floor

The kitchen conveniently leads to the outdoor dining terrace.  It has dual sinks, a 4 burner stove, wood butchers block, and leads to the dining area that sits eight people.  The open living space on the ground floor has a large fireplace that splits the room in two. 

The living room, a mix of white and earth tones, has linen couches and chairs, a stereo, and an antique desk. There is a laptop that connects to a mobile phone that is available to clients, as well as a TV with DVD.

Bedrooms

All of the Bedrooms are air-conditioned, have ensuite bathrooms, and are approximately the same size. 

The ground floor bedroom has a double bed (two beds separate), a light blue armoire, dresser, and small sitting area.  There are dual reading lights by the bed, and an ensuite stone mosaic bath with tub/shower.

There is also a small twin room, appropriate for children.

First Floor

The Bedrooms

There is a marine blue double bed, grey armoire, ensuite bath with elegant dual sinks cast in resin, dual mirrors, and a stand up shower with stone floor, tub, and bidet.

The second bedroom has a light blue/grey armoire, a double bed with a peach colored duvet, dual reading lights by the bed, and an ensuite bath with dual cast sinks, and tub with standup shower and bidet.

The third bedroom on the first floor has light green silk shades and duvet, a white dresser, TV with DVD, dual bedside lights, and ensuite bath with dual sinks, tub with overhead shower, toilet, and bidet.
