Summary

Le Capannacce is an elegant, yet comfortable renovated farmhouse, the original structure dating back to the 1700’s.  It is located near Paganico with views of Monte Amiata and the landscape of the Maremma studded with beautiful olive groves and cypresses.  Several small, quaint towns are a short distance away, including St. Angelo in Colle, enroute to Montalcino (about 20 mins. Away), St. Antimo, a stunning monastery in a valley near Montalcino, Montalcino itself, the Banfi Castello and its beautiful surrounding environs.  Monte Amiata, Castel del Piano and Santa Fiora are particularly nice small towns to visit. Le Capannacce, while being close to Siena, and southern hill towns, is also close-by to the coast.  It is the perfect home for someone who would like to explore the Maremma and southern Tuscany.  The equally sized bedrooms make it perfect for 6 couples, or a family vacation.

Exterior

Le Capannacce has a pool that overlooks olive groves, and a beautiful backdrop. There is a shaded area with a pool, and the front of the house has a small table for evening drinks or morning coffee.  The rear of the house has a terrace with an overhead pergola, and marble dining table that seats 12. It overlooks an herb garden, Monte Amiata in the distance, and a beautiful unspoiled landscape.

Interior

Ground Floor

The ground floor has an open layout with arched ceilings, and 2 living areas, a dining room, and a large eat-in kitchen.  The eat-in kitchen has a table that can accommodate 12, high ceilings, beautiful antique server, dishwasher, 4 burner stove, marble countertop, stereo and access to the front and back garden.

The house has original terracotta floors, antiques, and many original details.  The décor of the house creates a warm environment, accomplished by the careful use of color and tasteful furnishings. There is a large fireplace, and a beautiful marble dining table that can accommodate up to 12 people.

Bedrooms

There is a large light blue bedroom suite with large window, as well as French doors to the rear garden, large armoire, dual lights by the bed and an ensuite marble bath with a tub and handheld shower.

A large double bedroom (two twins that separate) with ensuite marble bathroom with tub and handheld shower can be accessed from outside the house with its own private entry from the garden.  

First Floor

The buildings original marble staircase leads to the first floor.  The pale mint colored sitting room/office with large fireplace splits the first floor, with the 2 ensuite bedroom/baths on either side. 

The Bedrooms

There is a soft sky blue double bedroom with dual bedside lights, a desk area, large dresser, armoire, Turkish throw rug, and an ensuite marble bath with tub and handheld shower.

There is a double bedroom (two twins that separate), a large dresser, antique armoire, dual bedside reading lights, and ensuite marble bathroom with tub and handheld shower.

There is a sunset colored bedroom with a double bed (two twins that can separate), armoire, desk, and a wicker rocking chair. There is an ensuite bath with tub and handheld shower.

The fifth bedroom has pale rose colored walls, a double bed, antique armoire, large throw rug, antique dresser, dual bedside reading lights and ensuite marble bath with tub and handheld shower.
